Dear Sir or Madam,
The Baltic Sea Philharmonic brings together leading orchestral musicians from the ten countries of the Baltic Sea region – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden. Under the leadership of Founding Conductor and Music Director Kristjan Järvi, the ensemble performs wide-ranging repertoire from across the region, both classical masterpieces and special commissions from emerging composers, in celebration of the region’s cultural diversity. It upholds the principle that music can unite people of all nationalities and backgrounds and change society for the better, especially in a region that has historically been divided.
After just finishing our successful first tour this year, ‚Baltic Sea Landscapes’, we are now looking ahead to our ‚Baltic Sea Discovery’ Tour which will take place in September 2016.
With concerts in Gdansk, Copenhagen, Sønderborg and Peenemünde, this tour will mark our first collaboration with Gidon Kremer and his Kremerata Baltica.
I would like to inquire if it would be possible to conduct our rehearsals at the Music Academy in Bialystok. We would need a room/hall for full orchestra rehearsals (80 musicians) from 12-17 September 2016.
Of course we would also be happy to check together with you if a performance in Bialystok is possible.
We would be very happy if we could work together on this project. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. If you have any further questions please let me know.
With kind regards
